Tontouring is a great alternative to hard contouring in hot summer months and it lasts for days. Can you just imagine waking up with perfect contour on your face and body, and actually being able to say "I woke up like this"?
Applying an even layer of self-tanner is tricky enough for a newbie, and most believe that only pros can create Rihanna-level tontouring six-pack abs. But the truth is somewhat different. You can do it at home and all you need is a little bit of practice, good self-tanner, and a makeup brush. And we're here to teach you how to define your face without makeup, and body - without hitting the gym.
Exfoliate and moisturize first to avoid any streaks or lines. We recommend using a mousse formulation for your face, in two shades. It is important because mousse formulations are oil free and it won't lock your pores and stress your wrinkles. Apply one layer of self-tanner, a lighter one, all over your face, neck, and chest. This way you will achieve a subtle glow, a base for your face, so the tontouring with darker self-tanner won't look harsh against your natural skin color.
Cheekbones: Use a flat-tipped contouring brush for tontouring your cheekbones. If you slightly smile, you will see where the contour lines should be. Create a number 3, which is a template for face contour, starting from the arch of your eyebrow, going under the cheekbone and finishing under the jaw.
Forehead: Use a stippling brush to apply a self-tanner on your forehead. Apply it near your hairline, but avoid mixing it with your hair, especially if you are a blondie.
Blend everything quickly with your fingertips to avoid streaky formation. Make sure you are satisfied with your tontouring before leaving, and in case you make any mistakes, you can erase them with a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda, so make sure it is ready too.
Cleavage: Contouring a cleavage will give you an uplifted appearance. Highlight the top of your breasts and collarbone, and then use dark shade and shade between the breasts and on the outside with self-tanner. Add shade above and below your collarbone in horizontal lines and your cleavage will be the sexiest ever!
Legs: Lift one knee up and shade the natural definition on the inner thigh. Remember to apply it on the inner thighs only! Bend your knees and add a shade in your quads and above your knees. This line is the most important when it comes to leg contouring and will look super sexy when you wear your favorite pair of heels. We recommend using a large mirror to create the perfect look.
Stomach: Hourglass shape has never been easier to achieve and will look super natural. Use a makeup brush and darker self-tanner for this part. Start by drawing a straight line from the center of the cleavage down to the navel, then add shades on the sides from rib cage to your hip bones.
Butt: To get higher and tighter butt, use the same technique used for your stomach. Tan only the lower outside areas in a half circle of the but cheeks and leave the top and the center in lighter color.
